Ohne Grenzen
2018 — Ongoing“Ohne Grenzen — Eine kulinarische Weltreise durch Tirol” (in English: “Without borders — A culinary world tour through Tyrol”) is an international cookbook of recipes shared by people from all around the world who made Tirol their new home.
I've always been fascinated by the diversity of this region, despite its small size, the deeply-rooted traditions and strong sense of belonging and pride of the Tyroleans by origin. Around 20% of the inhabitants in Tyrol (with a population of 746,153 as of 2017) are not of Austrian nationality.
In this ongoing project, I pay homage to the diverse population of Tirol by tapping into their gastronomic culture.
The ultimate goal is to make a cookbook of international recipes that share one thing in common: all were shared with me by foreigners living in this region.
